When x = 2, the equation 3x - 5 = 1 is true. Will any value of x make this equation true? Explain why or why not by using multiple examples to justify your answer.

No, only x = 2 would work because if x = 1, 3x ( 3 x 1 ) would be 3, and 3 - 5 would be -2, making it incorrect, if you used x = 5, 3x ( 3 x 5 ) would be 15, and 15 - 5 would be 10, making the opposing claim false.
