Does a reaction occur when aqueous solutions of ammonium sulfide and magnesium nitrate are combined?

Answer:

Solutions of magnesium acetate and ammonium sulfide are mixed.

Mg(C2H3O2-)2(aq) + (NH4)2S(aq) ==> double displacement forming a precipitate of magnesium sulfide

so i would have to say yes a chemical reaction is something that cannot be reversed so yes but i'm not 100% sure but you can try it : )
