A rectangular prism is 15 centimeters long, 2 centimeters wide, and 6 centimeters high. What is the surface area of the rectangular prism?

Answer: 264 cm²

Explanation:

The surface area of a rectangular prism: SA=2(wl + hl + hw)

Since l = 15 cm; w = 2 cm & h = 6 cm

∴ by substituting into the formula SA = 2 [(2)(15)l + (6)(15) + (6)(2)]

= 2 [ 30 + 90 + 12 ]

= 264 cm²
