Nto the Wild, by Jon Krakauer

After graduating college, Christopher McCandless went off the grid. He stopped talking to his family, donated all his money, and drove out west. A flash flood ruined his car, so he abandoned most of his belongings and lived off the land. McCandless met his untimely end in the Alaskan wilderness. When authorities discovered McCandless's body, the author Jon Krakauer reported on the case. Throughout the book, Krakauer chronicles his own journey as he retraces McCandless's steps and tries to understand what caused this young man to go out into the wild. Is this an example of man vs nature?

Answer:

I think not, because Christopher McCandless did not face nature, even though the nature invaded him (the flash flood that ruined his car).
