x > -1

Explanation:

1. To get rid of the 8, you have to add 8 to both sides (because -8 + 8 cancels out). After that, we have 3x > -3 (because the 8 is cancelled out and -11 + 8 equals -3).

2. Now, we divide by 3 on both sides to cancel out the 3 that's attached to x. The 3 on the left cancels out and we're left with x and on the right, we get -1 because -3 ÷ 3 is -1.

Hope that made sense. Now that I look at it myself, it looks quite complicated but trust me it isn't ^-^
