Answer:

365ft^2

Explanation:

So... First you take not that the 8ft on the right of the parallelogram has two lines indicating that the other side is the same distance. Cut both sides off making two of the same triangles. 7ft * 8ft = 56ft^2. 56ft^2 divided by 2 makes 28ft^2. But because there is two of them you would double it back to 56ft^2.

56ft^2

Then you would do 12ft * 7ft to get the rectangle. 12*7 makes 84. 84ft^2

84ft^2

Then you take note that on the bottom there is a line that is the same on each four sides making that a square. So all sides are the same. 15ft*15ft = 225ft^2

225ft^2

So now you add them all up to make 365 ft^2

Which is the final answer

Hope this helps! :)

The area of the first composite figures is determined as 319.5 ft².

The area of the second composite figures is determined as 315 ft².

How to calculate the area of the composite figures?

The area of the composite figures is calculated by applying the following formula as shown below;

The area of the first figure is;

total area = area of trapezium + area of square

total area = ¹/₂ (12 ft + 15 ft) 7 ft + (15 ft x 15 ft )

total area = 94.5 ft² + 225 ft²

total area = 319.5 ft²

The area of the second figure is;

total area = area of triangle + area of square

total area = ¹/₂ x 15ft x 12 ft + (15 ft x 15 ft)

total area = 90 ft² + 225 ft²

total area = 315 ft²
