First off, this is not a function, because you can draw a vertical line that intersects the graph more than once. That alone knocks out two of the possible answers.

Next, you need to remember that vertical lines all have the form “x = a number”. (An equation of *y = a number” is a horizontal line.)

So the only answer that works is the one that says this isn’t a function and has the equation of a vertical line.
