You are offered two jobs. One with a yearly salary of $54,262, and the other an hourly

job with a rate of $26 per hour. Both require you to work for 45 hours a week. How
much more will you make by taking the hourly job?

Answer:

126.5 or 126 and 1/2 (one half)

Explanation:

To find out how much that yearly salary is in weeks, we can take the number and divide by 52, because there are 52 weeks in the year.

54,262/52 = 1043 and 1/2 or 1043.5

Now, we must do 26 * 45 because you are working for 45 hours, and making $26 an hour.

and that number for 26 * 45 is 1170.

Now to find how much more you make from taking the hourly job over the salary job, you need to find the difference.

To do that, you would subtract 1170 and 1043.5 or 1043 and 1/2.

That is 126.5 or 126 and 1/2 (one half)
