answer:

6x+4y =28 -> y = -6/4x + 7

x + y =5 -> y = -x + 5

Explanation:

slope intercept form = y = mx + c

(If your in the US or some other part of the world it 'c' might be 'b' but it doesn't matter)

the goal is to rearrange for y on its own

6x +4y = 28

subtract 6x on both sides

4y = 28 - 6x

divide by 4 on both sides

y = 7 - 6/4x

as we want it in the form 'y=mx+c' we have to make the X come first

y = -6/4x + 7 (final answer)

now we just repeat this with the other one

x + y = 5

subtract x from both sides

y = 5 - x

again we want it in 'y=mx+c' so move X around

y = -x + 5

let me know if you don't understand anything
