First convert to minutes so when we use time in a proportion it’s easier.
Hour and 40 min = 100 min
Hour and four min = 64
Now use the speed equation to see who is faster
Speed = distance/time
So first Samspeed = 10/100 or 1 mile in 10 minutes
Now Annaspeed = 8/64 or 1 mile in 8 minutes.
So from this we can see Anna is faster and she runs every mile 2 minutes faster.
