First use Pythagorean Theorem

Pythagorean Theorem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2

This method is going to tell us the slant height of the cone

Now since the diameter is 16, split it in half so b^2 would be 8

Now here remember your sides for using Pythagorean Theorem. a = 15, b = 8 and c = the slant height

15^2 + 8^2 = c^2

225 + 64 = c^2

c^2 = 289

c = 17

Therefore, the slant height of the cone is 17 m
