Pls ASAP, Pls no algebra thank you

Farmer Brown has a fixed number of boxes to pack some strawberries.
If he packs 18 strawberries into each box, he will have 111 extra,
if he packs 25 strawberries into each box, he will be short of 162 strawberries.
How many boxes did he have?

Answer:

6

Explanation:

  • if he put 18 strawberries in each box, He would have 111 extra
  • if he put 25 strawberries in each box, He would be short 162

this should be more than 111 but less than 162.

162/25= 6 12/25

111/18= 6 3/111

So the amount that should fit should be 6.
