Two parallel sides is 3x + 4 = 5x - 6

\bf \large \longrightarrow \: \: 3x \: + \: 4 \: = \: 5 x \: - \: 6

\bf \large \longrightarrow \: \:6 \: + \: 4 \: = \: 5x \: - \: 3x

\bf \large \longrightarrow \: \:10 \: = \: 2x

\bf \large \longrightarrow \: \: (10)/(2) \: = \: x \\

\bf \large \longrightarrow \: \: \cancel(10)/(2) \: \large \: ^(5) \: = \: x \\

\bf \large \longrightarrow \: \:x \: = \: 5

Option ( B ) is the correct answer.

Answer:

x=5

Explanation:

The sides have to be equal length

3x+4 = 5x-6

Subtract 3x from each side

3x+4-3x = 5x-6-3x

4 = 2x-6

Add 6 to each side

4+6 = 2x-6+6

10 = 2x

Divide by 2

10/2 =2x/2

5 =x
