Quadratic Formula: (-b +/- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)) / 2a

2x^2 - 3x = 12

2x^2 - 3x - 12 = 0

a = 2

b = -3

c = -12

(--3 +/- sqrt( (-3)^2 - 4(2)(-12) )) / 2(2)

3 +/- sqrt( 9 + 96 ) / 4

3 +/- sqrt(105) / 4

Answers:
(3 + √(105) )/(4),
(3 - √(105) )/(4)

Hope this helps!
