true, normal calculators support only log(x) (= log10(x)) and ln(x) (= loge(x)).
did you not learn in class how the different logarithms are related with each other ?
loga(b) = logc(b)/logc(a)
that is all that is to it.
so, we can easily convert any crazy logarithm to a log10 or ln form.
in our case here, let's use log (log10) :
log17(2) = log10(2)/log10(17) = 0.244650542... ≈ 0.24
that way we could easily calculate it on our calculators.
