so x^2-10=0

we add 10 to both sides of the equation x^2 = 10

then take the square root of both sides of the equation to eliminate the exponent on the left side x = ± √10

The complete solution is the result of both the positive and negative portions of the solution. x = √10 ,−√10

the result can be shown in multiple forms

Exact Form :x=√10,−√10x=10,-10

Decimal Form: x=3.16227766…,−3.16227766
