General Purpose: To Inform Specific
Purpose: By the end of my speech the class will know not only how Agora provides services to anyone requiring them, but also what characterizes depression and how depression can be treated in ways other than medication.
Thesis Statement: As hopeful physicians, many of us think of treating patients with advanced drugs or complicated surgeries, but programs such as Agora Crisis Center approach complicated disorders such as depression with alternative methods because of a better understanding of depression.
Three Main Points:
1. What depression is and what causes it.
2. How approaches that do not rely on medications can be effective treatments.
3. How Agora treats individuals suffering from depression.
