1. The positive symbols will become negative once you removed the parenthese. For instance, 2-(3+2)=2-3-2. It’s the same in this problem. 4-2(3+7)=4-(2•3+2•7)=4-2•3-2•7

2. Distributive property. 4-2(3+7)=4+[-2(3+7)]=4+(-2•3+-2•7)

3 is false because the positive symbol is not changed into negative symbol after the parentheses were removed.
