Answer:

y = 2x + 5

Explanation:

We have two points,

(-2,1) and

(4,13)

from which we can find the slope, m, where

m = (13-1)/(4--2) = 12/6 = 2

take any of the two points to form the point-slope form

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y-13 = 2 (x-4)

y = 2x - 8 + 13 =2x+5

Check:

when x = -2, y = 2(-2)+5 = 1 checks.
