We need to distrubute the -3 to what is in the parthese.

When I say distribute, basically you need to multiply the numbers inside the parethese by -3. So we can think of it as:

-3*-2=6

and:

Which we can rewrite as:

(6-15)

Subtract 15 from 6 and you get -9:

6-15=-9
