Hey, I am a student and I am taking algebra 1 regents . Can someone help me with my question below and explain how you got your answer? can you also let me know how to do ti-84 and ti nspire calc? I am using the ti nspire at school and ti-84 at home.

Here's the question :

On the main floor of the Kodak Hall at the Eastman Theater, the number of seats per row increases at a constant rate. Steven counts 31 seats in row 3 and 37 seats in row 6. How many seats are there in row 20?

Common difference

  • (37-31)/(6-3)
  • 6/3
  • 2

Row 2 has 29 seats

Row 1 has 27 seats

  • First term =27

Seats on row 20

  • 27+19(2)
  • 27+38
  • 65

Answer:

65

Explanation:

31, 6 = 37 t3 rows and 6 seats so its going up 2 every row so you need 14 rows after row 6 so 14 x 2 + 37 = 65 seats
