Answer:

D. -22

Explanation:

8 makes the inequality wrong

-14 is not enough to make it less so that's wrong

-16 makes it equal -5>-16+11 ---> -5>-5 so not true

-22 is the only one that makes it true.

-5 > -22 +11 ----> -5 > -11 so its true

Answer:

D) -22

Explanation:

We can find the answer by substituting all possibilities into the equation:

(8) + 11 = 19 (NOT = LESS THAN -5)

(-14) + 11 = -3 (NOT = LESS THAN -5)

(-16) + 11 = -4 (NOT = LESS THAN -5)

(-22) + 11 = -11 (This is the only subsititution that makes the expression correct)
