It is being shipped in a larger box with a width of 10 inches, a length of 10 inches, and a height of 15 inches. The space between the glass box and the shipping box will be filled with Styrofoam peanuts. How many cubic inches of space will contain Styrofoam peanuts? Show all work.

Explanation:

so first you find the area of each box, starting with the glass box.

7×9×12, gives you 756 inches cubed.

then the larger box of 10×10×15, gives you 1,500 inches cubed. then to find the peanut space, you simply take the difference, 1500-756= 744 cubic inches.
