12X-12=252 , now lets work this by adding 12 on each side of the equation:

12X-12+12=252+12

12X=264 , divide both sides by 12.

X=22

Now lets prove X =22:

(5·22–6)+(5·22–6)+22+22=252

(110–6)+(110–6)+22+22=252

104+104+44=252

208+44=252

252=252Therefore the length is 104 feet each and the width is 22 feet each.
