A) The Progressive Movement and the New deal wanted to reform the government. The progressive movement wanted to reform the tax system, eliminate corruption, grant women the right to vote, and pass measures to increase citizen participation in government. While the New Deal wanted to expand its role in the economy.

B) The Progressive movement did not have financial relief goals while the New Deal did. The Progressive Movement passed legislation at state and local levels while the New Deal was across the country.

C) The Progressive Movement had many effects and achievements such as increased the regulation of businesses and railroads to promote fairness, made workplace safer for employees, protected consumers from unsafe products, and increased protection for children. The New Deal help regulate banks, created laws, put people back to work, relief programs, created the Social Security Act of 1935 and etc.
