Ann increased the quantities of all the ingredients in a recipe by 60% 60, percent. She used 808080 grams (g) of cheese. How much cheese did the recipe require?

Answer:

50 gram

Explanation:

The actual percentage recipe = 100%

Percentage Increase in recipe = 60%

Recipe used as a result of increment = 80 gram

Hence,

100% + 60% = 80

160% = 80g

If :

160% = 80

100% = x

Cross multiply

1.6x = 80 * 1

1.6x = 80

x = 80 / 1.6

x = 50

Recipe required 50 gram
