What did Nicolaus Copernicus mean in his quote?

“To know that we know what we know, and that we do not know what we do not know, that is true knowledge.”

The Socrates made a great point! It a remembering quote that you know nothing, that knowledge and understanding of something is limited. You know nothing. “True” of someone with great understanding. :) Someone typed an answer already but never hurts to help!

Answer:

. I think it makes a great point in this quote, that by recognizing you know nothing, that your knowledge and understanding is so limited in a universe so vast, you know nothing .
