Answer:
Step-by-step explanation:
This piece of artwork is called the Oracle. It pictures a blue woman standing slightly off-center, covered in tattooed symbols such as the ankh, a heptagram, infinity symbols, a sun and pair of moons, arrows and dots. She has a third eye, and is holding a vision that wraps around her form, showing a gathering of faceless figures. The subject is set on a dark, flower of life background. This piece was made when the artist was not in a good mental state and simply needed a place to put her thoughts and feeling, it took over two months to complete and there were many changes along the way. The artist is Hayley Petro, a 20 year old self-taught artist, based out of northeast Ohio. Technically a professional, by definition, and with two or three awards under her belt. Currently trying her hand at earning a buck or two off of the ever-present stack of art that has accumulated over the years. There really isn't a message that she was trying to convey, she usually just wants the onlookers to create there own message. A fun fact about this painting is that if you hold the canvas up to a bright light, in the portion of the canvas that holds the vision you will see orange, this is because before she decided that she wanted faceless figures she wanted a scene of hell. You may wonder how i know all of these things about this piece of art but that is because the artist, Hayley Petro herself, is my older sister.
