The Prius is different from other cars. Certainly, its parking feature is a nice one, but that is not what sets the
Prius apart from other cars. The Prius is better for the environment than other vehicles-it can switch to
nonpolluting, electric power. Since it does not always rely on gas, the Prius uses less; it gets about 55 miles to the
gallon (23 kilometers per liter), compared to the average small car's 25 miles per gallon (10.6 kilometers per liter).
Demand for nonpolluting cars is growing, and Toyota says that the Prius has helped its company win over new
customers.
