Replace x with 10 and solve for the two sides:

6(10)+4 = 64

5(10) = 50

Now use the Pythagorean theorem to find the hypotenuse:

SQRT(50^2 + 64^2)

SQRT(2500 + 4096)

SQRT(6596) = 2sqrt(1649) = 81.215

Exact length = 2sqrt(1649)

As a decimal = 81.215
