There were no options so I did a collection of the responses I saw. Glory Road is based on the actions of basketball coach Don Haskins in the year 1965. Basketball was a white sport at the time and it was rare to see black players especially in the South.

Don Haskins decided to include black players in his squad because he thought they had talent. His ideas were not too popular then so the first time his team was introduced to the fans in a game against Eastern New Mexico, there was confused cheering from the crowd. They also murmured amongst themselves and when the time came to applaud them just before the game started, there was some hesitation.
