I think of a number. I subtract 14 from the number and then treble the difference. The result is two third of the number. Find the original number​

Let the number be x.

A/Q:-

3 (x-14)= 2/3x

Multiplying by 3 we get

9(x-14)=2x

9x-126=2x

9x-2x=126

7x=126

x =126/7

x=18
