Explanation:

What you want to do is combine like terms, so take (2+4i)+(9+6i)

add the numbers with variables, in this case that is 4i and 6i, you get 10i.

Then you want to combine 2 and 9, you get 11.

You should end up with 11+10i, however in some cases you might write it as 10i+11 since some teachers want you to put the number with the highest variable first. If you need the answer for a recovery course (we know which one I just cant say it since this website doesn't like it lol) the answer will most likely be 11+10i
