A cuboid has 4 rectangular faces and 2 square faces. Each rectangular face measures 8 cm by 6 cm. Find the two possible values for the surface area of the cuboid.

Answer:

320 cm² or 264 cm²

Explanation:

first, the rectangular face area is 4 faces at 8 x 6 = 192 cm²

the 2 square faces will be either 8 x 8 or 6 x 6.

If 8 x 8, then the SA will be 192 + (2 x 8 x 8 ) = 320 cm²

If 6 x 6, then the SA will be 192 + (2 x 6 x 6 ) = 264 cm²
