Answer:

Equation 1,

x + 2y = 11

Equation 2,

x - 2y = 11

Take equation number 2.

x - 2y = 11 \\ x = 11 + 2y

Substitute 'x' in Equation number 1.

x + 2y = 11 \\ 11 + 2y + 2y = 11 \\ 11 + 4y = 11 \\ 4y = 11 - 11 \\ 4y = 0 \\ y = (0)/(4) \\ y = 0

y = 0.

So x,

x = 11 - 2y \\ x = 11 - 2(0) \\ x = 11 - 0 \\ x = 11

x = 11.
