23 feet > m ; or m must be less than 23 feet.

Explanation:

Let's call this final, or third side, m.

According to the Triangle Inequality Theorem, or the Gator Theorem - as some call it - "The sum of the lengths of any two sides of a triangle is greater than the length of the third side."

So,


2+5>m\\7>m

So, we know that m must be less than 7 meters! However, we are NOT done. We must convert M's measurement of meters into feet.

A meter is about 3.28 feet, so using that conversion...


3.28 * 7 = 22.96\\

That is about 23 feet :)
