As we’ve learned, Appositives are nouns or noun phrases that sit beside another noun to either rename, identify, or describe the noun.

We’ve practiced with Appositives in Pear Deck, videos, and whiteboard practice. Today I want you to apply what you’ve learned.

Your assignment for today is to create 2 paragraphs that are 5-7 sentences EACH. You have the choice of writing about a past trip to the beach (this can be real OR made up) OR writing about your favorite TV show/movie.

You are to include at least 4 Appositives total in your 2 paragraphs.

An appositive is a noun or noun phrase that renames the noun next to it. For example, if you said, "The boy raced ahead to the finish line," adding an appositive could result in "The boy, an avid sprinter, raced ahead to the finish line."Appositives are used to reduce wordiness, add detail, and add syntactic variety to a sentence. ... Simple Sentence: Mrs. Green is a tough grader.:
