Answer:

By using pythagoras theorem the problem can be solved;

(hypotenuse)^2=(pythagoras)^2+(base)^2

h^2=(20 mi)^2+(40 mi)^2

h^2=(400+1600) mi^2

h^2=2000 mi^2

h=√2000 mi^2

h=20√5 mi
