Radius of the sphere = r

Volume of sphere:

  • V₁ = 4/3×πr³

Radius of the hemisphere = 2r

Volume of the hemisphere:

  • V₂ = 1/2×4/3×π(2r)³ = 1/2×8×4/3πr³ = 4V₁

The volume of the hemisphere is 4 times greater than the volume of the sphere
