Answer:4/15 of the portion of land is left to be mowed.

Explanation:

Portion of Lawn mowed by Mr Strand =2/5

Changing to decimal we have 0.4

Portion of Lawn mowed by his son=1/3

Changing to decimal, we have 0.333

From this , we can deduce that Mr Strand mowed most of the Lawn.

Now to find the portion of Lawn remaining to be mowed

Let total portion be =1whole

Such that portion left to be mowed

=1-(2/5+1/3)

1- 6 + 5/15

1-11/15

15/15 -11/15

4/15 of the portion of land is left to be mowed.
