In order to calculate this probability we need to calculate the frequency of all the numbers rolled that were less than three. Since this would be numbers 1 and 2 and 1 was rolled 6 times while 2 was rolled 8 times, therefore, we add these numbers together.

6 + 8 = 14

Since we are tolled that the total number of rolls were 35, we now divide the number of rolls that were less than 3 (14 rolls) by the total number of rolls made (35 rolls). This would give us the probability of rolling a number less than 3

14 / 35 = 0.4 ... multiply by 100 to get percentage

0.4 * 100 = 40%
