Answer: 2.80

Explanation:

There is 5 pounds of watermelon and each pound is worth 0.50 cents so

5 x 0.50 = 2.50. So now we need to find the amount 3/5 pounds costs and 5/5 = 0.50 so 1/5 = 0.10 And 3 x 0.10 = 0.30. So 0.30 + 2.50= 2.80
