{x - 5y = 8

{x = 5y + 8

{4(5y + 8) - 5y = 17

{x = 5y + 8

{20y + 32 - 5y = 17 | - 32

{x = 5y + 8

{15y = -15 | : 15

{y = -1

{x = 5 * (-1) + 8

{x = 3

{y = -1
