Pls answer i will fail:-}

A pair of equations is shown below:
y = 2x − 1
y = 4x − 5

Part A: In your own words, explain how you can solve the pair of equations graphically. Write the slope and y-intercept for each equation that you will plot on the graph to solve the equations. (6 points)

Part B: What is the solution to the pair of equations? (4 points)

y=2x-1

  • Slope=2
  • y intercept=-1

y=4x-5

  • Slope=4
  • y inetrcept=-5

Now graph both equations

Solution set:-

  • (2,3)
Pls answer i will fail:-} A pair of equations is shown below: y = 2x − 1 y = 4x − 5 Part-example-1

Answer:

Graphic Representation of the Equations is in the image above

Explanation:

Solve by Substitution :

// Solve equation [2] for the variable y

[2] y = 4x - 5

// Plug this in for variable y in equation [1]

[1] (4x-5) - 2x = -1

[1] 2x = 4

// Solve equation [1] for the variable x

[1] 2x = 4

[1] x = 2

// By now we know this much :

y = 4x-5

x = 2

// Use the x value to solve for y

y = 4(2)-5 = 3

Solution :

{y,x} = {3,2}

Pls answer i will fail:-} A pair of equations is shown below: y = 2x − 1 y = 4x − 5 Part-example-1
