This dot plot is symmetric bell shaped.

To prove this, draw a vertical line at the center of the distribution (at 18lbs), you will notice that the data on both sides of the vertical line are distributed equally, and they reflect one another

(b) The sea otters

This dot plot is skewed left (i.e. negatively skewed)

To prove this, you will observe that there are few data points at the left-hand side of the plot. As you move towards the right side of the plot, there are more data points.
