Greetings fellow students! My name is Ben Mosby, and I’m a student in the eighth grade. I’ve been a member of the student council for two years, and therefore I can safely say that I am familiar with the concerns of the student body. I know how important it is to understand the needs of students and take effective steps to meet them.
My goal as president would be to ensure that I am always available to listen to your suggestions and concerns. I’ll also take all the steps necessary to make the experience at our school amazing for all students. Specifically, I plan to pursue the following changes during my presidency:
Better desserts at lunch: Desserts are the best part of lunch, right? Chocolate chip cookies are always available in the cafeteria. But I’ll make sure there are more options, such as cupcakes, muffins, and ice cream.
Less strict dress code: Our current dress code doesn’t let us express our own style and individuality. I will work with the principal to relax the dress code so that everyone can better express themselves.
More choices for clubs: I plan to add more clubs, such as chess club, anime club, jazz club, and origami club. These clubs will help students learn something new and make friends with similar interests.
I believe the connection that I have built with students and faculty by being in student council will help me do a great job as student body president. Thank you for your consideration.
