Y=6000
Explanation:
The equation is
(y=1680+0.72y)
you can also have the equation as
(1y=1680+0.72y)
Since you want to isolate the variable (y) you do the opposite of what is expressed, and whatever you do to one side you also do to the other side
(1y=1680+0.72y)
First, you would subtract
0.72y
from both sides. You would end up with:
(0.28Y=1680)
You then would have to divide each side by
0.28
because originally you are multiplying by 0.28.
The result would then be Y
=6000
