In the state of Indiana, 212500 people lack basic health coverage. If this is 5% of the population of Indiana residents aged 5 years and older, estimate the population of Indiana residents aged 5 years and older.

Explanation:

We know that 212,500 is equal to 5% of the population. The way i to find out how much is 1%. We can do that by dividing

212,500 / 5 = 42,500

So 1% is equal to 42,500. So now we can multiply that by 100 to get the whole population

42,500 x 100 = 4,250,000
