How do Solids, liquids and gasses change states?

Someone already answered but i’m going to provide more detail.
If you have an ice cube which is a solid and it melts, it turns into liquid water instead of frozen. Now, if you put that same water in a pot on top of a stovetop, once it reaches boiling point (212°F) then it will turn into a gas and start to bubble. I hope this helps! :]

you melt a solid to turn into a liquid, then you boil the liquid to turn it into gas
