Explanation:

Given

The side of the hexagon is
a=2\ cm

If it enlarged with scale factor 3 i.e. each side is 3 times before

The new side of the hexagon is
a'=3* 2=6\ cm

The area of the hexagon is


A=(3√(3))/(2)a^2

Putting values we get


\Rightarrow A=(3√(3))/(2)* 6^2\\\\\Rightarrow A=(3√(3))/(2)* 36=54√(3)\ cm^2\\\\\Rightarrow A=93.53\ cm^2
